Organisation networks

The top organisation is usually your national or HQ account on Enterprise. Beneath it you can have regional groups and local clubs. Each group still has its own elections, voter lists, users, and settings. What they share is the parent’s plan capacity: credits, Usage meters, and billing.

Open Organisation → Users & Groups to see the Network section for the organisation you are currently managing. Parents appear above you; children appear below. Use Manage next to a parent or child to switch into that organisation without leaving the page. The header organisation menu also groups networks under a “Network: …” label with indented children.

When a group joins a network, its Usage page shows the credit pool and plan limits of the Enterprise organisation at the top. Child organisations do not manage Billing; that stays with the parent so there is a single invoice and a single place to change the plan.

Local work is unchanged. You still create elections, upload voters, and invite members inside the child organisation. The umbrella only covers plan capacity, not the content of each election.

Anyone who is an Admin on a parent organisation is automatically an Admin on every organisation beneath it. On the child’s Users list they appear as Admin with a short note that access comes via the parent. You cannot change their role or remove them from the child; change that membership on the parent organisation instead.

Groups under an Enterprise network also get the parent’s multi-user features for seating Managers and EROs, even when the child organisation itself was created on Free. That keeps regional teams able to staff elections without each branch buying its own Scale plan.

From an organisation that already sits in an Enterprise network (or is the Enterprise root), Admins can add children in two ways. Both are parent-led: the trained Admin at the higher level starts the link.

• Create child organisation: type a name and create a new group already linked under you. You stay on the parent; switch into the child when you are ready.
• Invite existing organisation: paste that group’s organisation ID and send an invite. Their Admin must Accept on Users & Groups before the link takes effect.

Ask the other Admin to copy their organisation ID from the Current organisation line on Settings or Users & Groups, and send it to you out of band (email, chat, or your usual internal channel). There is no public search of other organisations by name or ID.

Create a group further down the same page is different: it always makes a separate Free organisation that is not linked into the network. Use that when you need an independent account, not a branch under your Enterprise parent.

When a parent invites you, Admins see a clear Accept or Decline prompt on Users & Groups. Accepting joins your organisation under that parent: Usage then follows their Enterprise plan, and their Admins gain Admin on yours. Decline leaves you independent.

The Enterprise organisation at the top of the network can open Network settings (at the bottom of the Network section) and choose how branding works for descendants:

• Each organisation uses its own branding (still needs Scale or Enterprise on the organisation that sets a custom look).
• Must use this organisation’s branding (children show the parent’s logo and theme).
• Must use SimpleVote branding (children show the standard platform look).

Settings and elections for each group remain local. Network settings only answer the branding question for voter-facing pages across the tree.
