Voting invites and reminders

Polish the invitation, prove it with a test send, then nudge people who have not finished voting.

Write the invitation before you open

Open voting sends one magic-link invitation per confirmed voter. Edit the subject and body on election details while you still can, and send a test to yourself. Reply-To points at the election owner (usually the creator, otherwise an organisation ERO) so members’ questions land with someone who can answer about this poll.

  1. Edit the invite subject and body on election details.
  2. Send a test email and open it on phone and desktop if you can.
  3. Confirm voters if you have not already, then select Open voting.

Send reminder

Under Turnout & Reminders on election details, Send reminder emails people who have not finished voting (including those part-way through a multi-ballot election). You will see how many reminders are left. By default each election allows two reminder sends. Enterprise contracts can raise that. Reminders do not use voter credits.

When a member cannot find their invite

Ask them to check spam and junk folders, and confirm the address on your roll matches the inbox they are checking. If they still have not voted, you can re-issue a voting link from election details. After they have fully submitted, the ballot is anonymous and they cannot vote again for that invitation.
