Reading Scottish STV results
Make sense of quota, transfers, and elected candidates after you calculate.
What you are looking at
The quota is the vote total a candidate needs to be elected under Scottish STV. Rounds either transfer surplus votes from people who have already reached quota, or exclude the lowest candidates and transfer their ballots. Markers show who was elected and when.
Tie-breaks follow Scottish STV rules (including exclusion ties under Rule 51 where they apply). A dedicated count video will appear under Getting started when it is ready; until then this walkthrough and the on-screen rounds are the guide.
